Three EMS ISD high schools - Boswell High School, Chisholm Trail High School and Saginaw High School - earned recognition in the 2025 Advanced Placement School Honor Roll. Saginaw High School received a Silver distinction while Boswell and Chisholm Trail high schools received the Bronze distinction.

Eight Hollenstein Career and Technology Center future educators advanced to the TAFE state conference after a strong showing at regionals at Tarleton State University’s Fort Worth campus. The students will compete in Galveston Feb. 26–28, building on classroom-based training in lesson planning, interviews, materials creation and public speaking.

SHS teacher receives grant from Dallas Cowboys and Reliant

Saginaw High School Algebra teacher Goretti Rivas-Ortiz received a $5,000 grant from the Dallas Cowboys and Reliant as part of the Cowboys Class Acts program. The program honors educators who encourage, lead and strive for excellence in the classroom. She is one of six educators across the DFW area to be recognized for the 2025-2026 school year.
